If you were an off-duty paramedic out for lunch with some of your colleagues and a medical emergency were to occur, would you stop to help? While you were considering this moral dilemma, a casualty may be lying on the floor, dealing with severe anxiety, cool clammy skin, difficulty breathing (ie. slowly going into shock) and due to the lack of oxygenated blood in their body is slowly dying...... what would you do?
This story discusses how an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) worker decides to help save an elderly woman with chest compressions while on her way home from work!
